Little known fact:
Almost all of the original Mormon scriptures were printed on home made hemp paper precisely because it was strong, durable and naturally archival. Brigham Young commanded the faithful in conference to "seek out the places most suitable for flax and hemp and there let them be grown." 1861 (This is a commandment) Journal of Discourses 9:34-35
