The LDS⁄Mormon Temple Endowment proves that Lucifer has more power and authority than any LDS⁄Mormon⁄Prophet⁄Apostle Priesthood holder.  Take this excerpt from the Endowment ceremony for example:

ADAM: What is that apron you have on?

LUCIFER: It is an emblem of my power and priesthoods.

ADAM: Priesthoods?

LUCIFER: Yes, priesthoods.

In the LDS⁄Mormon Temple Endowment Lucifer instructs Adam and Eve accordingly:

ADAM: I am looking for Father to come down to give us further instructions.

LUCIFER: Oh, you are looking for Father to come down, are you?

[Elohim and Jehovah are heard speaking outside the Garden Room.]

ELOHIM: Jehovah, we promised Adam that we would visit him and give him further instructions. Come, let us go down.

JEHOVAH: We will go down, Elohim.

ADAM: I hear their voices; they are coming.

LUCIFER: See--you are naked. Take some fig leaves and make you aprons. Father will see your nakedness. Quick! Hide!

[Lucifer withdraws from view.]

ADAM: Brethren and sisters, put on your aprons.

[He waits until they have done so.]

[To Eve.] Come, let us hide.

[Adam and Eve withdraw from view.]

My question is why would anyone be taking directions from Lucifer?  And just what exactly are Lucifer's "Power and Priesthoods"?  Adam and Eve have just partaken of the fruit of knowledge and should have known better than to be deceived by Lucifer!

Mormon Scripture states that, "That the rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the powers of heaven"

D&C 121.34-37

34 Behold, there are many called, but few are chosen. And why are they not chosen?

35 Because their hearts are set so much upon the things of this world, and aspire to the honors of men, that they do not learn this one lesson—

36 That the rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the powers of heaven, and that the powers of heaven cannot be controlled nor handled only upon the principles of righteousness.

37 That they may be conferred upon us, it is true; but when we undertake to cover our sins, or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise control or dominion or compulsion upon the souls of the children of men, in any degree of unrighteousness, behold, the heavens withdraw themselves; the Spirit of the Lord is grieved; and when it is withdrawn, Amen to the priesthood or the authority of that man.

So apparently Lucifer gets his power from heaven?  That's messed up!
